Learning in the Early Years
Early Education at Gowrie NSW
“Children are viewed as competent and capable, able to develop hypotheses and communicate their feelings, thoughts and ideas … They are seen as active participants in decisions that affect their lives”(Gowrie NSW Program Foundations pg8)

Our Approach to Early Learning
At Gowrie NSW, our approach to early childhood education is built on strong, trusted relationships and a deep respect for each child’s unique learning journey.
Every child is supported by a consistent Primary Educator, helping them feel secure, seen and valued. Our practice is guided by four Program Foundations: Empowerment, Respectful Relationships, Play-Based Learning and Practitioner Inquiry. These foundations shape meaningful learning experiences, foster genuine connections, and support educators to reflect, grow and respond to children with intention.
Through this approach, we create environments where children are confident, curious and ready to thrive.

Nutritious Meals
We know that good food fuels great learning. That’s why we’ve partnered with leading Australian paediatric dietitians The Biting Truth to design our seasonal menus - ensuring every bite supports healthy growth, energy, and wellbeing in the early years. We know that what children eat fuels their energy, concentration, behaviour and overall wellbeing. By providing nourishing meals, we give children the best start to their day...and to life.
All children* enrolled in our Early Education and Preschool centres enjoy breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, as well as late snacks if required.
*Clemton Park and Shirley Rd preschool children bring their own lunchbox in preparation for their transition to school.

Committment to Child Safety
At Gowrie NSW, safety has always been front and centre. It’s something we’ve been deeply focused on for a long time - not just in words, but in action. As a child safe organisation, we hold a zero-tolerance approach to harm and place children’s rights and wellbeing at the core of everything we do. Our policies, training and everyday practices are designed to create environments where children feel secure, respected and empowered. Families can trust that their children are safe, supported and free to learn and grow.

BeccyParent, Erskineville -
Gowrie has become like a second home - a warm, loving environment where she’s thrived in her learning, grown in confidence, and let her cheeky, mischievous personality shine. As a parent of four who has experienced many childcare centres over the past 12 years, I can honestly say Gowrie is by far the most outstanding of them all
SkyeParent, Dubbo -
It really is the most amazing day-care/preschool service in the area. The level of care and the quality of education is unmatched. My children thoroughly enjoy attending and have a strong sense of belonging to their Clemton Park Gowrie community. Thank you team!
LDParent -
They provide a wonderful educational environment and our child is thriving. We are particularly impressed by how the educators integrate a structured educational program into fun play and exploration. They help us learn how to continue this at home and provide great updates on the daily activities. The management team are responsive and professional, and truly understand the challenges of balancing work and home.
