Choosing early learning is a big decision. A tour of a centre gives you the chance to see, feel and experience what makes it different. With so many centres to choose from, it's important to find one that feels right.

When you visit one of our centres, you’re not just walking through rooms. You’re getting a real sense of how children are cared for, how relationships are built, and how learning comes to life each day.

Why book a tour?

A tour helps you decide if a centre feels right for your child and your family.

It gives you confidence in:

  • The safety and wellbeing of your child
  • The relationships between educators and children
  • The quality of learning experiences on offer
  • How the centre aligns with your family values

You'll leave knowing how your child would be supported from day one.

What to expect on a Gowrie NSW tour

Our tours are relaxed, welcoming and family focused.

During your visit you will:

  • Meet the Centre Director, or an Educational Leader or Senior team member
  • See indoor and outdoor learning environments in action
  • Learn how we support children to feel safe, confident and included
  • Hear about our play-based learning approaches and daily routines
  • Understand how we partner with family
  • Learn about our Gowrie NSW Charter of Children's Rights, and Program Foundations of Empowerment, Respectful Relationships, Play Based Learning and Practitioner Inquiry

You're encouraged to ask questions... this is your time!

Questions you might like to ask

Families often ask about:

  • How educators support children to settle and build strong relationships
  • How learning is planned and adapted for each child
  • How children’s voices and interests are respected
  • How the centre communicates with families
  • How children are supported as they  move through rooms and into school

There are no right or wrong questions - you need to ask about what is important to you and your family.  We have developed a pdf download of questions you could ask, once you've booked a tour.

What happens after a tour?

After a tour, families often tell us they feel reassured about their child's safety, and confident in the educators and leadership team.  You'll be asked about next steps, and have the opportunity to join the waitlist if you choose to.  Touring the centre turns uncertainty into clarity.
