Wellbeing for educators (3-part series)

This series with Rod Soper empowers educators to take intentional steps toward protecting and enhancing their own wellbeing. Each session focuses on self-awareness, everyday strategies for sustaining energy and motivation, and embedding wellbeing practices into professional life.

Workshop 1: Knowing yourself—the heart of wellbeing

  • uncover ways to recognise signs of stress, fatigue, and burnout
  • explore character strengths as a foundation for self-care.

 

Workshop 2: Recharging and rebalancing

In this interactive workshop you will: 

  • explore emotional intelligence and the energy drain of relational work
  • develop ways to identify protective practices and everyday emotional intelligence micro-habits
  • think deeply about differentiating between self-care and self-repair.

 

Workshop 3: Embedding wellbeing into your practice

In this interactive workshop you will:

  • discover ways to make wellbeing visible in your room, routines, and reflections
  • uncover strategies to model wellbeing for children and colleagues
  • establish ways of planning for consistency, not perfection.

 

Recommended audience: Educators and teachers in any service setting, with any level of experience.

 

Presenter: 

Rod Soper is deeply committed to increasing the wellbeing of every child. Rod is a veteran educator, having served as a teacher and principal for more than thirty-five years. Rod is also a writer, coach and speaker. He is also the co-founder of Thinkers.inq, a long day preschool and Personhood360, an online platform serving educators to capture their children's wellbeing through stories to create exceptional futures.
