Responsive Routines with Kelly Goodsir

This session with Kelly Goodsir explores the fundamental pillars of classroom organisation that respectfully engages children with soft transitions through meals, rest and grouping experiences.

Without teams who are organised and in agreement about the tone and flow of the classroom climate, long term sustained engagement is just something left to chance. This session will reimagine the role of organisation and what it means to work with soft and peaceful approaches with children.

We will unpack:

  • the role of educators and teams being organised so learning is not left to chance
  • what a sift transition involves
  • how environments for meals, sleep and grouping can increase children’s agency and be beautiful and purposeful
  • how an inquiry-based lens can reimagine the what and how of meals, relaxation and grouping children in your context.
