Effective Communication, Relationships, and Difficult Conversations (3-part series)

This series with Jennifer Ribarovski will provide you with an understanding of maintaining relationships through effective communication, particularly in relation to having difficult or challenging conversations.

In this series of workshops, you will learn about the importance of building and maintaining relationships and how this supports effective communication, particularly in relation to having difficult or challenging conversations. 

 

Session 1:

In this session, you will:  

  • Learn about the foundations of effective communication. 
  • Understand the intersection between effective communication, relationships and the NQF. 
  • Become familiar with research in relation to communication. 

 

Session 2:

In this session, you will: 

  • Learn strategies and skills to enhance effective communication. 
  • Learn about active listening. 
  • Understand effective and ineffective questioning techniques. 
  • Learn how to create conditions for effective communication. 

 

Session 3:

In this session, you will: 

  • Learn strategies and skills for difficult conversations. 
  • Understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships during difficult conversations. 
  • Learn how to Prepare for and respond to difficult conversations. 
  • Learn how to approach difficult conversations with empathy.
