Jessica Horne-Kennedy
As Education and Care Consultant for Gowrie NSW, Jessica brings a strong background of knowledge drawn from her experiences as an early childhood teacher, director and researcher. Prior to working in early childhood, Jessica trained and practiced as a visual artist and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Otago Art School in New Zealand. As an artist, Jessica’s practice focused on mixed-media drawing as a tool to explore the concepts of memory, time and space. The stories that particular spaces and places evoke is a theme that has also emerged in Jessica’s work as a teacher where she has been exploring the way that educator’s personal narratives, memories and experiences influence their philosophy and inturn their work with children and families.
