Children connect with the space of their learning environment through their relationships with people, places and things.  For educators it is essential that they way we establish our environments comes from our reflections and understandings of the children in our care.   Planning engaging, responsive environments enable belonging and rich opportunities for learning.

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Connect their knowledge of the child and child development to the decisions made when establishing learning spaces.
  • Explore how their current theory and philosophy supports the establishment of inclusive places for play and the child’s voice.
  • Explore opportunities for open-ended learning experiences.
