Join Visual Artist, Jacqui Bolt in two exciting workshops this November.
Art of Photography – How to take a captivating photo
In this workshop, examine the way in which photos are taken in an early childhood setting and the impact of photography in practice. When, where and how often should we take images of children? What language does this speak to the child, and parent? What pedagogy sits around this?
Igniting Art – Visual arts
Explore the way in which art can be used as a language of readable lines, shapes and forms. View art as a language that expresses feelings through colour, size, movement and materials, pure freedom of expression. Fine art disciplines examined include drawing, sculpture, painting, photography, printing, and mixing these mediums using authentic art materials as the catalyst for sustainable and engaging investigations into the artist’s chosen subject matters. This workshop aims to communicate the balance that is needed when providing visual art experiences; thinking about the image of the child, our roles as educators, relationships with families and the environment.
Jacqui Bolt is a visual arts teacher working as an Atelierista with young children. She inspires others in her approach of integrating arts into planning and learning experiences, recognising children’s potential and capacities to research and drive their own learning.
