Explore the way in which art can be used as a language of readable lines, shapes and forms. View art as a language that expresses feelings through colour, size, movement and materials, pure freedom of expression. Fine art disciplines examined include drawing, sculpture, painting, photography, printing, and mixing these mediums using authentic art materials as the catalyst for sustainable and engaging investigations into the artist’s chosen subject matters.
This workshop aims to communicate the balance that is needed when providing visual art experiences; thinking about the image of the child, our roles as educators, relationships with families and the environment. How a child’s interest can be supported and extended through the visual arts. In this workshop you will look at some art projects analytically noticing the way that key elements in this art programme drive the love of learning and expression. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with some authentic art materials.
