The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator/Program Manager to work in our highly respected Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) program located across two services, St Mary's Primary School and Drummoyne Public School, Drummoyne, NSW. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who strives to  create meaningful relationships with children and families to develop a program that achieves exceptional outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the educational and care program as the Educational Leader
  • Provide a program that contributes to each child’s development and wellbeing
  • Completion of regular documentation of children’s skills and interests
  • Maintain up to date accurate records for each child that includes routine activities, health and wellbeing and children’s attendance.

The position is term-time only with the option of working in the vacation care program during school holiday periods. There is a requirement to work split shifts across the week.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked as follows:

  • Before School Care: Monday – Friday 7am to 9am
  • After School Care: Monday – Friday 1 to 6pm
  • Vacation Care a variety of shifts rostered between 7am to 6pm

About you

Essential requirements for this position are:

  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • Qualifications or study in Education or similar
  • A current first-aid certificate, asthma and anaphylaxis training and child protection training or willingness to undertake training in this area
  • The ability to interact well with children and build positive relationships with families
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team
  • Passion for furthering your own professional development with Gowrie NSW
